Kenneth R. Mackie

Managing director and co-founder at James Fisher Subsea Excavation.

Kenneth leads the business and is involved in every aspect of its operations – from overseeing its client relationships and business development to monitoring onshore and offshore operations.

Kenneth co-founded KDM Marine International, the previous name of James Fisher Subsea Excavation, following more than a decade as an industry pioneer in the subsea excavation sector. He brought the expertise and team he had built in that time to launch the business, which would quickly become the world leader in the field, in 2013.

Before entering the energy industry in 2001, Kenneth had spent more than 20 years in senior management roles in the finance and retail industries, building market-leading local, national and international offerings.

Kenneth said: “I love what I do and am incredibly proud to lead this business. The tools and team we have in place are simply the best in the world, showcasing the best expertise, innovation and track record in the industry.”

Graham Murdoch

Technical director at James Fisher Subsea Excavation. 

Graham is responsible for all matters relating to operations worldwide. He also oversees equipment maintenance and new developments. 

Graham was part of the expert team that launched KDM Marine International, the previous name of James Fisher Subsea Excavation, in 2013, following 15 years in engineering, operational and business roles in the energy industry.

He has a degree in civil engineering from the Robert Gordon University. He initially worked in the water and drainage industry for a number of years being office and site-based. He moved into the energy sector in 1998 as a project engineer working with an oil and gas service company. He joined a subsea service company in 2003 and later became responsible for all its offshore and onshore operations.

Graham said: “Leading the operational side of the business is an exciting challenge.  We are continually improving our equipment and services and have some interesting new ideas to develop.  Reliability and the highest standards of service are the keys to delivering success for our clients worldwide.”

Richard Beattie

Regional director Asia Pacific at James Fisher Subsea Excavation.

Richard is responsible for managing our operations and business development in Asia Pacific.

Richard joined the subsea excavation industry in 2004 and has spent the past 14 years working in business development, management and operations roles. Before that, he spent two decades in management position in client-facing industries.

Richard relocated to Singapore in 2010 and has an in-depth knowledge of the regional marketplace and the benefits subsea excavation can play.

Faisel Chaudry

Regional director Middle East at James Fisher Subsea Excavation.

Faisel is responsible for developing our presence in the Middle East supporting new and existing clients, as well as managing the equipment based in the area.

He has 12 years' experience in the energy industry.

Faisel is based in Dubai and travels throughout the region supporting clients with their subsea excavation requirements.

Stuart Porteous

Senior business development manager for UK, Europe and West Africa at James Fisher Subsea Excavation.

Stuart is responsible for identifying opportunities for our tools and teams to benefit upcoming and ongoing projects across the UK, Europe and West Africa.

He has developed an in-depth knowledge of subsea excavation during his career and has worked in a number of fields giving him an insight to the full lifecycle of a project.

Stuart is based in Aberdeenshire, UK and regularly travels to Europe and Africa.

Jose Luis Oviedo

Country manager Mexico at James Fisher Subsea Excavation.

Jose is responsible for developing opportunities for James Fisher Subsea Excavation’s tools and teams to support clients in Mexico, as well as liaising with clients throughout the entire lifecycle of a project.

Jose has been involved with subsea excavation for 15 years and has a deep understanding of how the technology can support projects in Mexico.

Jose is based in Ciudad del Carmen.

Steve Kaub

Senior business development manager USA, Canada and Latin America at James Fisher Subsea Excavation.

Steve maintains and builds client relationships and develops new business in the US, Canada and Latin America. He is also responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our Houston office.

Steve has had a diverse career in the mass flow excavation industry having held logistics, health & safety and project management roles which gives him a solid insight when tailoring client solutions.

Steve is based in Houston.
