James fisher Subsea Excavation appoints Edmond Kumar in Asia Pacific
As part of our ongoing growth in Asia Pacific, JFSE has appointed a business development manager in the region. Edmond Kumar has been involved in the energy industry for 25 years and will be identifying opportunities for our expert team and world-leading technologies to support clients and build long-term, collaborative relationships.
Below, Edmond, who is based in Kuala Lumpur, explains more about his professional passion for CFE and his solutions-driven approach to business development.
Career background: My first position within the offshore industry was in 1994. I then moved into an office-based role as an ROV system engineer and continued through a range of roles involving the five-life cycle of offshore field development.
I have onshore and offshore CFE experience and have held roles which have involved business development, marketing, bid and project management.
Favourite thing about the role: The ability and privilege to work anywhere in the region with the numerous contacts that I have made over the years being in a position to satisfy their project requirements where applicable. I value the ability to engage and develop deep and trusted relationships with clients old and new. I have also been incredibly well supported and really value the professionalism and support from all of the JFSE team.
Outside of work: I really enjoy being outdoors and trekking is my favourite activity. In the next two years I plan to do the Annapurna Range and Everest Base Camp.
