JFSE signs deal to support client with challenging excavation in India

JFSE’s team of operations experts is set to mobilise its world-leading Twin R2000 in the Kandla Gujarat region of North-west India.

The challenging project is for 5km of post-lay trenching and backfilling of HDPE pipeline with concrete sinker blocks. The pipeline needs to be trenched to 1.5m on top of the pipe in an intertidal zone with 7m tidal variation. The requirements of this project suit our Twin R2000. Its stability and shallow water capabilities make it the only M/CFE tool capable of completing this project successfully.

Kenneth R. Mackie, managing director at JFSE, said:

“This will be a challenging project but one we are confident our tool and team will be able to successfully complete because of our experience facing similar challenges on a recent project in France.

“The requirements of this project suit our Twin R2000 and it is the only tool in the world capable of performing in such shallow waters.

“We are delighted to support our client with their subsea excavation requirements and they can be confident that our expert team and world-leading tool will complete the job in the most time and cost-efficient way possible so they can focus on the success of the wider project.”
