Ultra Low Draft tool introduced to market
JFSE has re-engineered one of its fleet in direct response to client requirements for excavations in particularly shallow water.
The Twin R2000 Ultra Low Draft is capable of excavating at just one metre - the shallowest depth achievable in the CFE sector. The tool recently completed its first project uncovering sections of damaged cable and trenching the repaired sections. It is now set for a number of key projects throughout the year.
JFSE, which has the largest and most established fleet of CFE tools in the world, is continually evolving its excavators and services to respond to, and in anticipation of, the needs of clients throughout the global subsea marketplace.

“Our Twin R2000 is one of our most popular tools due to its ability to operate at very shallow water depths. The addition of the Ultra Low Draft version to our range is already proving popular with clients, with this tool booked on a number of key projects in 2018.
“It is extremely versatile and can be used for trenching, deburial and backfilling works in water depths from one metre right through to 3,000 metres. This latest iteration of the design makes it by far the shallowest draft CFE tool on the market.”
The Twin R2000 Ultra Low Draft will be based in Aberdeenshire, UK in order to efficiently mobilise for clients in the North Sea and wider European markets where there has been a particular demand for shallow water excavations. JFSE’s team and excavators have been responsible for the successful completion of more than 480 projects in 46 countries over the past 19 years.
JFSE will be exhibiting at this week’s Subsea Expo in Aberdeen alongside fellow Group companies on Stand 4.
